VFX artist Tim Miller is set to direct Deadpool

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Slowly but surely it’s happening with all the pieces starting to come together–DEADPOOL has a director.

Ready for some new blood? The guy in charge of helming a movie that the fans really want is VFX artist Tim Miller. Well, who is this Miller character and what are his credentials? Well you can see his visual effects in X-MEN and X2: X-MEN UNITED, and he also served as creative director on SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD.

But why would Fox hire Miller instead of going after someone with more experience behind the camera? There’s nothing wrong getting a new pair of eyes especially due to the fact that the guy does have a good amount of VFX experience to contribute. Or does Fox want to use Miller, with his lack of directing experience to have more control of the project?

However, it’s too early on to know how any of this will pan out. Reynolds has wanted to do the solo DEADPOOL film for awhile, so now he is getting closer and closer to getting back into the role of “The Merc with the Mouth” once more. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (ZOMBIELAND) are writing the script and Lauren Shuler Donner is producing.

I know you guys are ready for the DEADPOOL movie, so this may or may not add to your excitement.
