The third chapter of the franchise that "redefined" the spy thriller finds extreme athlete turned government operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) coming out of self-imposed exile and on a collision course with deadly alpha warrior Xiang (Donnie Yen) and his team in a race to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as Pandora’s Box. Ya know, because 'on the nose' is where it's at! Recruiting an all-new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself enmeshed in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of world governments. The teaser for a trailer bit is nothing new at this point, but these small glimpses at the film actually look pretty favorable. Besides . . . Donnie Yen. I'm really not too concerned about the continuity of the "franchise", given that Xander is supposed to be dead, but I do hope this chapter is more fun than the previous installments (none of which I really cared about). Welcome to the Xander zone!
