While it's easy to get caught up in the FURIOUS 7 craziness that's going around as far as Vin Diesel is concerned, the man still has another picture to deliver fans in the latter part of 2015. I'm, of course, referring to THE LAST WITCH HUNTER, which finds Vin Diesel as an immortal witch hunter who partners with his natural enemy, a female witch (Rose Leslie), to stop the covens of New York City from unleashing a plague on humanity. As per usual, Diesel is the first to release some new material in the form of a picture and some word via his Facebook page.
It is a rare thing, to have produced two movies with completely contrasting characters, that come out in the same year… FURIOUS 7 on April 3rd… THE LAST WITCH HUNTER on October 23rd…
However, exactly fifteen years ago, two movies were released in the same day, with entirely different characters… BOILER ROOM and PITCH BLACK.
Thanks for always believing in me… blessed, inspired… and I feel like I'm just getting started…
There's no denying the passion he delivers for each and every project, but I really do hope WITCH HUNTER delivers something we haven't seen from Diesel before. The first time I heard the concept it sounded like a B-grade action picture, but with the likes of Michael Caine and Elijah Wood rounding out the cast, my interest has snowballed. We'll definitely have more to show you regarding THE LAST WITCH HUNTER in the coming months, so stay tuned!
