We haven’t seen much of gorgeous China doll Zhang Ziyi since MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA, but it sounds like she has more of the swordplay that made her famous in her future.
The sexy CROUCHING TIGER whirlwind will reportedly be starring in an upcoming movie called… LAUNDRY WARRIOR. A tentative title, one would hope. The film stars popular Korean actor Jang Dong-Gun (TAE GUK GI: BROTHERHOOD OF WAR) as a wandering Old West laundryman/swordsman defending a lost town of circus performers from a gang of evil bandits. Ziyi will play the love interest who will no doubt have a few tricks and kicks in her arsenal.
The $30 million feature is currently casting carnies (including a fire-breather, bearded lady and tiny black man) for an intended October start date. Ziyi will next be seen with Dennis Quaid in the supernatural thriller THE HORSEMEN.
