Okay, so we’ve been plugging MAREBITO ever since we got those exclusive pics. You guys already know about the poster for the film (including the Asian one with the nekkid lady…). Now, with the film being rated, the MPAA has once again put the boots to the film, specifically with the poster itself. Take a look at the original poster (before the MPAA):

Notice anything? Specifically, the woman’s leg accessory? Seems the MPAA doesn’t like having the idea of having a woman in shackles, which is understandable. What doesn’t make sense is leaving the damn shackles in the poster! Sure, it’s not okay to show the shackles on her, but it’s okay to imply that they’re involved. Once again the MPAA is taking its liberties a little too seriously. This is probably right up there with the SAW II poster fiasco. Why is it that we can have gratuitous and racy billboards and TV ads, but we can’t have freedom of speech in our posters? The world amazes me, sometimes.
