Murphy’s in at 3:30

Brittany Murphy is one star that I’m surprised isn’t in more horror movies. She rocks many qualities others like Sarah Michelle Gellar are famous for, and let’s face it… with a rack like that, she has ‘horror movie hottie’ written all over her. But she hasn’t really done much in the genre (save for CHERRY FALLS back in 2000) until today, that is.

According to Variety, Murphy has signed on to star in 3:30 A.M. for Milcoz and Future Films. Written and directed by Mick Davis, 3:30 is about a young woman who leaves Gotham after the death of her father to work in a country hotel, exploring the connection between dreams and reality.

Sounds strange. Maybe it’s the whole dream thing going on, or the fact that she leaves Gotham… like Gotham City? Or is there actually a Gotham out there in real life? Regardless, I smell a mind-trip coming on with this one, let’s hope that it’s as hard core as it sounds.

I’m stoked to see Murphy hitting up the horror, and who knows… if this proves to be successful, maybe we’ll be seeing more of her in the future… it’d be a shame to let a pair of lungs like that goes to waste.
