My Bloody rating!

Well, it’s official: This upcoming Valentine’s Day will be very BLOODY! That’s because we’ve just learned that a rating has been given to Lionsgate and director Patrick Lussier’s forthcoming remake, MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D… and it is a nice, solid R. Want to know the reasoning for the MPAA’s rating? Then check this: for “graphic, brutal horror violence and grizzly images throughout, some strong sexuality, graphic nudity and language.” Yee-ha, we’ve hit the jackpot! BLOODY V’s rating description covers every possible angle for a horror flick, and then some! F*ck the remakes of PROM NIGHT and THE EYE! This is how you do our genre right!

Ever since Mr. Ammon showed us that splattered ceiling fan pic, I had an inkling that BLOODY V 3D was destined for great, gory things. I just didn’t know how great it would actually turn out. I know the flick hasn’t even been screened yet, but that’s one long ass ratings description and you know how proficient the MPAA now has to be when summing up the content of films. So I think it’s a safe bet to expect lots of gushing red jumping off the screen at our faces! January 16, 2009 is the release date!

Now, the real question: Who will be the bearer of the graphic nudity? The cast is composed of Jensen Ackles, Jaime King, Kerr Smith, Edi Gathegi, Andrew Larson, Kevin Tighe, (the immortal) Tom Atkins, Marc Macaulay, and Betsy Rue (below).
