Mytheries: The Dyatlov Pass Incident – what killed 9 hikers in the Ural Mountains?

In February of 1959, nine hikers died under mysterious circumstances in Russia’s Ural Mountains. Evidence showed that something had caused them to flee their camp in the night, so quickly that they didn’t even have time to get dressed. Six of them died of hypothermia, but the others were killed by physical trauma. The “Dyatlov Pass Incident” has been fascinating people for decades, and it’s the focus of the latest episode of our Paranormal Network video series Mytheries. To learn the facts of the incident and hear theories that might explain what happened in the Ural Mountains all those years ago, check out the video embedded above.

Episodes of the Mytheries series

showcase various myths and mysteries from around the world and shine the light on incidents that have rocked history and can still not be explained.  Each episode will be about a creature/myth/or in some cases people that are connected to it.  To this day the creepiest thing about vampires is the fact that basically every culture in the world has a vampire myth but they never communicated to each other…so how did they know about them too?  This is the place where Myth and Mystery combine.

The Dyatlov Pass episode was Written and Narrated by Jessica Dwyer, Edited by Zakk Denton, Produced by Jason Hewlett, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.

Episodes of Mytheries that delved into the legends of Halloween, the Fouke Monster, and the Loch Ness Monster can be seen below.
