Naked Sylvester Stallone Demolition Man prop found in antique store

Stallone prop

Well here’s something we don’t see every day…thankfully. A naked Sylvester Stallone–in prop form, mind you–was found in Australia. The prop is from 1993’s Demolition Man, in which Sylvester Stallone played an LAPD sergeant who is cryogenically frozen who is roused to stop Wesley Snipes’ thawed-out criminal.

The Stallone prop, more info on which can be read here, was spotted by a visitor while vacationing in the “kookie” town of Katoomba in New South Wales, Australia. The woman described it as both a “weird screaming doll” and a “car wreck you simply can’t look away from.” Objectively, yes, it is both. The woman also called it the “weirdest find of the day.” God, we hope so!

Unsure what it was, she posted a photo of the Sylvester Stallone prop on social media, immediately getting the answers she may or may not have wanted.

One follower deduced how the naked Stallone ended up in the Australian antique store. “It’s safe to assume it’s origin was the Sydney Planet Hollywood, but after they went bust, it stayed on the premises…”

The prop was created by visual effects and makeup expert Gino Acevedo, whose other credits include work on Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, numerous Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies, and the Planet of the Apes reboot trilogy.

Additional online detective work found that the prop was on sale for $6,000 AUD, or $4,000 USD. Do you know how many cheesy gordita crunches that would buy at Taco Bell in 2032?!

While quite terrifying, we can at least hope this is some viral marketing for the rumored Demolition Man sequel, which Stallone said in 2020 was “going to happen” and “looks fantastic.” Sylvester Stallone currently stars in superhero movie Samaritan, streaming on Amazon Prime video.

Major props (so to speak) to our Reel Action guru Travis Hopson for turning this one to our attention.
