On their MySpace page, NECA dropped some news on their plans for this week’s Comic-Con. Among them, the company announced that their Cult Classics line of figures gets centre stage, showcasing the fourth and fifth series, as well as a couple goodies from SHAUN OF THE DEAD, including a 12″ talking Shaun!
With DEAD MAN’S CHEST carving up the box office, it seems only right that NECA is showing off series 1 and 2 of their license, as well as a sneak peek at series 3. NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS is also in line with series 4 and 5 of that line, along with “tons of giftware, plush, accessories, and more”. As well, expect more from the company’s video game licenses, including new stuff based on SOUL REAVER and TOMB RAIDER.
The most important thing about the post was that NECA will be announcing 3 major licenses for 2007, and they should be able to show a couple of prototypes of said licenses at the show, along with some special guests stopping by the booth! Damn, I wish I could stow away in JoBlo’s or Arrow’s suitcases (although I’d have to ditch all the porn). Head here for the blog entry by NECA.
