Netflix’s Mute gets gorgeous Casablanca homage poster

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

As I told you guys last week when we shared the film’s trailer and poster I’m really looking forward to the futuristic thriller MUTE from director Duncan Jones and starring Alexander Skarsgard and Paul Rudd.

Jones has said that this film is his CASABLANCA and today’s amazing poster does little to disprove that claim. Jones knocked it out of the park with his previous flicks SOURCE CODE and MOON and I’m going to be there first thing once the film hits Netflix on February 23rd.

You can check out the CASABLANCA homage poster below along with the film’s trailer and then make sure to hit us up and let us know how excited you are for MUTE in the comments below or on social media.

Synopsis:

Berlin, the future, but close enough to feel familiar: In this loud, often brutal city, Leo (Alexander Skarsgård) – unable to speak from a childhood accident – searches for his missing girlfriend, the love of his life, his salvation, through dark streets, frenzied plazas, and the full spectrum of the cities shadow-dwellers. As he seeks answers, Leo finds himself mixed up with Cactus Bill (Paul Rudd) and Duck (Justin Theroux), a pair of irreverent US army surgeons on a mission all their own. This soulful sci-fi journey from filmmaker Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code, Warcraft) imagines a world of strange currencies in which echoes of love and humanity are still worth listening to.

The film is directed by Duncan Jones and written by Jones and Michael Robert Johnson and stars Alexander Skarsgård, Paul Rudd, and Justin Theroux. MUTE hits Netflix February 23rd.
