New character posters for Rebel Wilson’s Isn’t it Romantic arrive online

If there's anything worse than being trapped in a horror movie, it's being doomed to spend your days incarcerated amidst super-sappy tropes of a romantic comedy. Just thinking about all the potential Hallmark moments, elaborately manicured animals, and the perpetual swelling of bubblegum pop music every time something gets even the least bit lovey-dovey is enough to make me wretch. I just couldn't do it. I need nuance, conflict, heat. I nwant passion that doesn't end in a PG-13 quick cut to the morning after, leaving any and all sex on the cutting room floor. Nope. Confine me to a complicated thriller. Hell, I'll even play the victim of a seedy murder mystery, so long as there's passion, intrigue, and a little roleplay involved. Anything but a romantic comedy. My heart can't take it.

Today, Warner Bros. dropped four new character posters for ISN'T IT ROMANTIC. Directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson (THE FINAL GIRLS) from a script penned by Erin Cardillo (LIFE SENTENCE), Dana Fox (COUPLE'S RETREAT, HOW TO BE SINGLE), and Katie Siberman (HOT PURSUIT, SET IT UP), the upcoming romantic fantasy comedy stars Rebel Wilson (BRIDESMAIDS, HOW TO BE SINGLE), Liam Hemsworth (THE HUNGER GAMES trilogy, INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE), Adam Devine (PITCH PERFECT, WORKAHOLICS), and Priyanka Chopra (BAYWATCH) and tells the fantastical tale of when a young woman who's disenchanted with love finds herself mysteriously trapped inside a romantic comedy.

At the risk of losing whatever JoBlo credit I've got left, I must admit that I chuckled while watching the trailer for this film on more than one occassion. Will I be seeing it in theaters? Probably not. However, I wouldn't mind checking it out when it hits Blu-ray, if only because I find the premise to be all too hilarious.

ISN'T IT ROMANTIC will arrive in theaters just in time for Valentine's Day on February 13th.
