New clip from Disney’s Frozen with Kristen Bell is like Tangled on ice!

After seeing the first trailer for Disney's upcoming FROZEN, I felt like it was more of an unofficial sequel to TANGLED than a bona fide new entry in the animated genre. That's not a bad thing, either, as I actually really enjoyed TANGLED when I went into it ready to loathe it entirely. However, they pulled off the right amount of charm, humor, and adventure to make the film a success and FROZEN looks similarly fun, complete with a talking snowman sidekick and a trusty reindeer to help along voice actors Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Idina Menzel, and Alan Tudyk into the frosty tale. Today, we have a new clip that highlights the playful tone and colorful characters that will likely make this a solid jaunt for the family set come the holidays.

Take a look:

Here's the synopsis:

Fearless optimist Anna teams up with Kristoff in an epic journey, encountering Everest-like conditions, and a hilarious snowman named Olaf in a race to find Anna's sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom in eternal winter.

While some may scoff at this not being traditionally animated, I think there's a future in the digital department for Disney (outside of Pixar, that is), especially after WRECK-IT RALPH, which proved that the studio could deliver a CG animated feature that was better than their Pixar counterparts (i.e. BRAVE).

FROZEN is set to debut on November 27, 2013.
