We’re about one week away from the highly-anticipated unveiling of David Fincher’s THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO. The flick is getting mostly positive notices (it currently holds a 92% “fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes) and will most likely end up being the most talked about movie of the holiday season. So expect the marketing barrage to continue well up until its release.
Today we’ve got a couple of videos to share with you: A music video and a solid new commercial. The music video blares the cover of “Immigrant Song” by Karen O and Trent Reznor, while the new ad is titled “Revenge”, is a bit more focused on “Lizbeth” than most of the other commercials we’ve seen. (You also shouldn’t expect much in the way of new footage in the abstract music vid.)
Hoping to distance himself from the fallout of a libel conviction, journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) retreats to a remote island in Sweden’s far north where the unsolved murder of a young girl still haunts her industrialist uncle forty years later. Ensconced in a cottage on the island where the killer may still roam, Blomkvist’s investigation draws him into the secrets and lies of the rich and powerful, and throws him together with one unlikely ally tattooed, punk hacker, Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara).
THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO opens on DECEMBER 21st.
