A new image of Kristen Stewart from SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN is online and features the forest-dwelling beauty in the midst of battle.

The film is directed by Rupert Sanders, who’s popping his feature film cherry. So far, based on the trailers, it looks like he’s got a distinct vision for the film, which will hopefully be a darker, more violent, fantasy version than ALICE IN WONDERLAND. The trailer brought me on board and although I loathe the TWILIGHT movies, I think Kristen Stewart is talented and quite lovely. Just not when she’s smoking pot on the side of the road.
Plus, you have brunette THOR. And Charlize Theron in a bath of white stuff. Hey, I didn’t make that up and you know it. Also, dwarves.
Look for some axe and blade action and probably a lot of “pouty mouth” shots of Stewart when SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN takes a bite out of the cinematic apple on June 1st, 2012.
