New Immortals trailer wants very badly to be epic

IMMORTALS is one of the few big movies sticking with Comic-Con this year during what is being considered an off year. It’s a chance for the movie to separate itself from the crowd and make a big impression but does it have the chops?

A new trailer is online (from Ryan Seacrest no less) that aims to prove the film is nothing short of epic. But this trailer is maybe a little too epic? One or two big moments in a trailer is a good thing but this trailer feels like nothing but big moments. Even the dialogue at the end is delivered like title cards: “Prove….me….RIGHT.”

This is not to say that I don’t like the footage – I’ve always admired the visual eye of Tarsem Singh – but does that make it a good movie? Take a look below and see what you think…
