Way back in October 2008 we heard about a flick called SWEATSHOP, you guys remember that? It’s alright.. neither do I, but that’s exactly why I’m here today to give you all a much needed update on the flick!
With Cannes right around the corner it seems SWEATSHOP is coming back into the picture, releasing a brand new international trailer today to help sell you all on this potentially twisted flick. But before I get into that let me refresh you all on the details! Coming from director Stacy Davidson, SWEATSHOP stars Ashley Kay, Krystal Freeman (below), Peyton Wetzel, Julin, and Danielle Jones. Scope out the simple yet intriguing synopsis:
A group of unsuspecting ravers must battle for their lives against an unstoppable monster wielding an oversized foundry hammer.
An oversized foundry hammer you say? That sounds pretty f*cking awesome right? Along with the brand new international trailer, which can be found over at the flick’s official website, we’ve also got a look at some new sales art for the film above. Simple yet effective, I’m digging it. Now we’ve also been treated to some details regarding SWEATSHOP’s appearence at Cannes, so stay with me while I run through that for you guys.
Making it’s Cannes debut on May 13th, SWEATSHOP will have two market screenings at Cannes 2010’s Le Marché du Film, courtesy of Screen Media Ventures. The first will go down on May 13th followed by an encore viewing on May 17th. The new trailer for the film will also be debuting at Cannes.
So there you have it! SWEATSHOP, after lingering in limbo for a couple years, will finally be hitting the masses this year at Cannes. Be sure to head right over HERE to take a look at the international trailer and as always, keep it here for more on SWEATSHOP as we hear it!
