New jaw-dropping trailer for Stephen King’s The Mist series

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

One of the upcoming shows I'm looking forward to the most is Spike's 10-episode adaptation of Stephen King's novella, THE MIST. Sure we have already seen an amazing version of the story, courtesy of Frank Darabont's shocking 2009 film, but all the same, I think THE MIST is a story that can be expanded in very cool ways.

Case in point, check out the new trailer, which features some "jaw-dropping" gore. Bad-dum tss. But, seriously, the trailer looks like spooky, gory, fun times and I can only hope once June 22nd gets here, the series as a whole will keep the creep-factor up.

You can check out the new trailer below and then let us know what you think of Spike's THE MIST on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

Spike's THE MIST synopsis:

Based on a story by Stephen King, Spike’s THE MIST centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world and, in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.

Spike's THE MIST comes to us from showrunner Christian Torpe and stars Morgan Spector, Alyssa Sutherland (see below), Gus Birney, Danica Curcic, Okezie Morro, Luke Cosgrove, Darren Pettie, Russell Posner, Dan Butler, Isiah Washington, Jr. and Frances Conroy.

The Mist premieres on Spike Thursday, June 22.
