It wasn't too long ago when we learned that Detroit-based Exxodus Pictures and Freestyle Releasing had announced the North American wide theatrical release date of April 4, 2014 for JINN, the supernatural thriller written and directed by Ajmal Zaheer Ahmad. And now they have released a new banner for the film just in time for Halloween, and it's pretty damn cool. Just from the few stills and even this banner, you can get the sense that this flick is going to be heavily driven by its visuals. Hopefully we can get our hands on a trailer soon because I'm dying to see this one in action.

The amazing story of JINN involves ancient mythological beings that have rarely been explored in US cinemas. The premise of the JINN concept, known to over 1 billion people around the world, involves ghost-like entities and revolves around creation mythology.

In the beginning, three were created. Man made of clay. Angels made of light. And a third made of fire. For centuries, stories of angels and men have captured the imagination and been etched into history crossing all boundaries of culture, religion and time. These two races have dominated the landscape of modern mythology, shrouding the evidence that a third was ever created. This third race, born of smokeless fire, was named the Jinn. Modern man has all but forgotten this third race ever existed. It is time for him to remember.

Dominic Rains, Serinda Swan, Ray Park, Faran Tahir and William Atherton. It was produced by Ahmad, Benjamin Dresser, Alan Noel Vega. Richard Mandell, Najam Syed and Shahid Syed executive produced the film for Exxodus.
