The boys over at STYD scored not one but three new pics from Christian Alvart’s upcoming sci-fi thriller PANDORUM, starring Dennis Quaid, Ben Foster, Antje Traue, and Cung Le.
The new pics feature Foster, Traue, and Le in action, and they make this sucker look like it could be pretty badass after all. As a refresher, PANDORUM goes like this: Two astronauts awaken in a hyper-sleep chamber aboard a seemingly abandoned spacecraft. It’s pitch black, they are disoriented, and the only sound is a low rumble and creak from the belly of the spacecraft. They can’t remember anything – who are they, what is their mission? The only way out of the chamber is a dark and narrow airshaft. As one ventures deeper and deeper into the ship, he begins to uncover a terrifying reality. Slowly the spacecraft’s shocking and deadly secrets come unraveled, and the astronauts realize that the survival of mankind hinges on their actions.
Sounds epic. And it should be awesome, as Alvart’s ANTIBODIES got rave reviews all around a few years back. Then again, his first American film CASE 39 (starring Rene Zellweger), which I visited the set way back in 2007, still hasn’t come out yet. And it doesn’t look like it’s hitting anytime soon. That’s not a good sign.

PANDORUM is scheduled to hit theaters September 4, 2009.
