Have you guys ever heard of THE DIRECTOR’S CUT? It’s an Australian horror/comedy from writer/director Paul Komadina and has obviously been flying under our radar! But let’s start things off right here… The film isn’t called THE DIRECTOR’S CUT anymore. Nope. Instead we’re looking at DEAD SET!
Ready for the rundown? A group of filmmakers set off to a remote part of Western Australia to shoot their low budget period drama. But something doesn’t want them to finish. and is out to kill them all. One by one. It stars Jonathan Wood, Mollie King (below), David Maguire, Renato Fabretti, Jennieka Chattelle, Martin Williams, Shaun Martindale and Melanie Munt. Intrigued? Good because the film’s official website just went live!
Unfortunately the site doesn’t offer a whole lot but we do get the cool teaser poster you see above and the updated trailer you see below, which can also be found over in our videos section. A slasher flick that takes place on the set of a movie? Not exactly original but I’m digging it! I’m actually really interested to see how much of a ‘comedy’ element this one has as well.
