New poster and viral site for Rian Johnson’s Looper with Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Director Rian Johnson’s sci-fi actioner LOOPER is headed our way this September, but until that day arrives it appears that the film will continue to roll out the viral marketing onslaught.  Today, we have a peek at the British Quad teaser poster, which showcases a time travel-like capsule stocked with the gold bars we saw in the teaser trailer.

Take a look:

The numbers scrawled on the wall translate to a URL, which you can click here and be taken to a viral site that asks the question: Who is the rainmaker.  Upon clicking the screen, you’re taken to this image of Jeff Daniels, who I’m guessing IS the rainmaker.

I’m actually really looking forward to LOOPER as I’m a little hungry for some smart, fun, action-rific sci-fi and this looks to deliver.  Plus Rian Johnson’s got style to spare and the cast of Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt, Jeff Daniels, and Paul Dano is pretty stellar.

Here’s a synopsis:

In the year 2042, a mob hitman assassinates targets that arrive from the future of 2072. For him it’s just a job… till he receives a new target: himself from the future.

LOOPER opens on September 28, 2012.
