At long last, the Ford brothers’ Africa-set zombie epic THE DEAD is coming to America. To celebrate, we’re happy to display a new poster for the flick, as well as name the first cities to screen THE DEAD in the U.S. To my happy surprise, the movie is getting a very decent release.

Kicking off on OCTOBER 7th, THE DEAD will open in Austin, Chicago, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, Fullerton, San Francisco, San Jose and Santa Cruz.

Then, on OCTOBER 14th, the film moves to NYC, Charlotte, San Diego and Dallas.

The following week, on OCTOBER 21, will see THE DEAD spread to Boston, Seattle and Washington D.C.

It expands even further after that; for the full list of cities and theaters, head right over HERE.

When the last evacuation flight out of war-torn Africa crashes off the coast, American Air Force Engineer Lieutenant Brian Murphy (ROB FREEMAN) emerges as the sole survivor in a land where the dead are returning to life and attacking the living.

On the run in a hostile and inhospitable parched landscape, where sudden death lurks around every sun-burnished corner, Murphy has to use his wits and ingenuity if he is to get home alive to his family.

When Murphy’s path clashes with that of Sergeant Daniel Dembele (PRINCE DAVID OSEI), whose village has been torn apart by the reanimated dead, they join forces.
