Now that it’s in post-production, we wait patiently for [REC] GENESIS to emerge soon. (No release date yet; sometime in 2012.) To keep us drooling like madmen for another entry in Paco Plaza and Jaume Balaguero’s demonic series, we’ve got a new still to share, which you can see above. That’s actress Leticia Dolera, obviously seeing something terrifying just off-screen. Safe to say, I don’t doubt that I’d wear the same expression.
It seems as though the trailer is not far off, which is sweet news. Along with the above image comes the following caption (please keep in mind that it was originally in Spanish, thus has gone through Google Translate and is probably not exactly accurate): Dear fans: We know you are eager to see the trailer, so are we, but like all good things are worth waiting for. Meanwhile, here’s the synopsis for [REC] GENESIS, which takes place miles away from the original location and partly in broad daylight, giving the film an entirely fresh yet disturbing new reality. The infection has left the building. In a clever twist that draws together the plots of the first two movies this third part of the saga also works as a decoder to uncover information hidden in the first two films and leaves the door open for the final installment the future REC: APOCALYPSE.
