Warner Bros. announced late yesterday the official release dates for Baz Luhrmann's as-yet-untitled Elvis bio pic and Denis Villenueve's version of DUNE. The King will be rocking his way to a theater near you on October 1, 2021 with Austin Butler donning the sideburns and sequined jumpsuit and Mr. Tom Hanks playing his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. The film will cover Presley's growth from dirt poor singer to global icon over two decades and is set to shoot early next year in Queensland, Australia.

As for Villenueve's DUNE, its release date was actually pushed back a month from November 20, 2020 to December 18, 2020. No reason was given and I guess nobody really needs one. Villenueve is such a freakin' visionary that I'm almost positive he is going to bestow us quite the gift in DUNE (so it makes sense to come out closer to Christmas). Plus, I mean, check out this dream cast: Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Stephen Henderson, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa and Javier Bardem. That's enough talent to fill the largest desert in the world!

The clip below is the closest Elvis-related video we have on our YouTube page. Please, enjoy:
