New Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days videogame trailer released

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Now, I like to consider myself a hopeful person. I don't always groan when a sequel, reboot, or remake is announced, and always hope for the best. Same goes for videogame adaptation of movies. Sure, most are shit (and some are considered the worst games ever, like E.T.), but I'm always hopeful. Hell, the RIDDICK games are better than the movies!

So it's with that open mind that I look at the trailer for the new RESERVOIR DOGS: BLOODY DAYS videogame (which is actually the second RESERVOIR DOGS videogame adaptation):

I don't know how I feel about this. On the one hand, the graphics aren't great, the characters look nothing like the movie (if they're even supposed to be the same people),and at least the first game was able to nab Michael Maden. However, the concept of the "Time Back" mechanic in this version seems interesting (and was shown a bit in the trailer). Essentially you get to play as one character, then dial back the time (like a VHS tape) and control another character, while the first character you played follows the steps you took previously – so on, and so forth. It's a bit convoluted, but it could potentially be fun if implemented right. At least it isn't a generic third-person shooter.

But what do you Schmoes think? You down for this? If so, sound off below!

Either way, RESERVOIR DOGS: BLOODY DAYS will arrive on Steam May 18th, 2017.
