Last week we brought along the first official still from MY SUPER PSYCHO SWEET 16 PART 3, which doubtlessly sent you into a tizzy like no other. Today, a Halloween treat comes in the form of another image from the threequel, courtesy of the Hollywood Reporter. Warm up to it above!

As for the plot, THR reveals this much: In Part 3, Skye (McKnight) and Sienna (Reed) are on the road to their first year of college in New York City when they receive a call from Skye’s estranged sister, Alex (Prout). They decide to pay Alex a visit and find out that her Sweet 16 is that very evening. And, you can imagine what that means… teen bloodshed.

The site also brings along some casting news: In addition to Lauren McKnight and Kirsten Prout – both of whom return to the series – Jillian Rose Reed, Ryan Sypek, Niko Pepaj, Ben Winchell, Onira Tares and Autumn Dial will appear in part 3, which is being directed by Jacob Gentry (his third time in the director’s chair).

People who have seen part 2 know that the conclusion portended a change in direction for the “franchise”, so the new one should look a bit different than the other two.

If you’re looking to mark down the release date on your 2012 calendar, we have received word that – unlike the previous two entries – MSPSS Part 3 will be hitting in the Spring, not October. Keep your eyes peeled for more details in the near future…
