Shredder unleashes in new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trailer

Yesterday, Paramount Pictures asked that you vote for your favorite hero from TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES. Once enough votes were tallied, brand new character posters were revealed (Leonardo and Michelangelo led the pack by a wide margin). Now that all four character posters are out, a new trailer is here to show us what kind of crazy action we're in for.

There was some buzz about William Fichtner playing Shredder (no doubt due to the image floating around where he's standing in front of the armor), but we do have word that he is NOT playing Shredder. His character, Eric Sachs, may or may not be more than what he seems, but the Shredder is not it.

Call me crazy, but this just looks like a fun time to me. I love all the self-referential humor (the quip about the Batman voice and them being aliens were great), and I can actually see what's going on in the action scenes, which (sadly) is a giant plus for action films these days. Plus, Shredder looks like a force to be reckoned with. I know the design of the turtles has most people talking, but I'm over it at this point. Let's see if Jonathan Liebesman can deliver something fun with this one.
