New The Prodigy poster asks what’s wrong with Miles?

Last Updated on July 21, 2021

It was only a few weeks back that we shared with you guys the poster and trailer for director Nicholas McCarthy's (THE PACT) new creepy-kid horror flick THE PRODIGY starring Taylor Schilling (ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK) and Jackson Robert Scott (Georgie from director Andres Muschietti's take on Stephen King's IT). And today we already have a NEW poster for your viewing pleasure.

The new poster fittingly features Schilling and Scott in a morbid family picture style layout… but with the addition of phantom hands reaching over Schilling's shoulders. It's creepy and effective. I think it works. And if you didn't already know, the poster makes sure to point out this film comes from Paul Harris Boardman, Beau Flynn, Tom Rosenberg, and Tripp Vinson, the producers of Scott Derrickson's THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE.

Written by Jeff Buhler (MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN, PET SEMATARY) THE PRODIGY stars Schilling in her first foray into the horror genre as

Sarah, a mother whose young son Miles' disturbing behavior signals that an evil, possibly supernatural force has overtaken him. Fearing for her family's safety, Sarah must grapple with her maternal instinct to love and protect Miles in favor of investigating what – or who – is causing his dark turn. She is forced to look for answers in the past, taking the audience on a wild ride; one where the line between perception and reality remains blurry.

You can check out the film's teaser trailer and new poster below. After looking through all of that let us know if you're excited to check out this new flick in the comments below! And make sure to mark your calendars today so you can catch THE PRODIGY when it opens on February 8, 2019.
