Here’s a better trailer for Scream: Resurrection

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

In the works for three and a half years, SCREAM: RESURRECTION the six-episode third season reboot of SCREAM: THE TV SERIES will finally debut on VH1 – instead of its original home on MTV – on Monday, July 8th. The three-night event series will feature the original Ghostface mask (and actor, Roger Jackson) and will run through Wednesday, July 10 for two hours per night starting at 9 p.m.

And today we have an all-new trailer for you guys to check out. Personally, I think this new trailer is a major step up from the last one, which was a bit underwhelming, to say the least. Sure these teasers have still not been anything close to mind-blowing but I'll take that any day over a kick-ass trailer that goes ahead and spoils each and every surprise the new season is keeping from us at this point in time. What do YOU think? Let us know below!

The rebooted series features an all-new cast, premise, and location and centers on

Deion Elliot (RJ Cyler), a local star football running back, whose tragic past comes back to haunt him and threaten his hard-earned plans for the future … and the lives of his unlikely group of friends.

The cast includes Mary J. Blige, Keke Palmer, Tyler Posey, Tyga, Giorgia Whigham, Jessica Sula, RJ Cyler, C.J. Wallace, and Giullian Yao Gioiello. The first-look trailer for season three — watch that, below — also reveals that Paris Jackson will guest star. The third season sees Brett Matthews (The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural) taking over as the showrunner with Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere, and Yaneley Arty serving as exec producers along with Wes Craven, Tony DiSanto, Liz Gateley, Marianne Maddalena, Cathy Konrad. Matthew Signer and Keith Levine produce the series, with VH1's Maggie Malina and Dana Gotlieb-Carter overseeing. SCREAM: RESURRECTION hits VH1 on Monday, July 8th – Wednesday, July 10.
