New trailer unleashed for Shudder’s Korean exorcism film Metamorphosis!

THE EXORCIST is to exorcism movies the way JAWS is to shark movies or STAR WARS is to space operas – the ur-text that all other films in that genre are held up to (unfairly or not). However, Shudder's upcoming Korean horror film METAMORPHOSIS might be giving that film a good run for its money, and you can check out the stylish trailer for yourself at the top of the article! Here's the official synopsis:

In this inventive and knowing new take on demonic possession, Joong-Su, an exorcist, must face a demon he tragically failed to defeat in the past when it targets his brother’s family next. The demon assumes the form of different family members to sow confusion and distrust, destroying the unit from within. With his loved ones in peril, Joong-Su must face the demon again, at the risk of his own life.

Meanwhile, METAMORPHOSIS – directed by Hong-seon Kim and starring Sung-Woo Bae, Dong-il Sung, and Young-nam Jang – will be released on Shudder July 2nd!
