New Wolf Cry

Alright, alright. I forgot to mention this one yesterday, but the good folks over at IGN.com posted an exclusive theatrical trailer for CRY WOLF, which right now is looking to me like a real genre gem in the offering.

The concept is simple and brilliant: Nobody believes a liar – even when they’re telling the truth. When a young woman is found murdered, a group of local high school students decide to further scare their classmates by spreading online rumors that a serial killer called “The Wolf” is on the loose. By describing “The Wolf’s” next victims, the students’ game is to see how many people they can convince – and if anyone will uncover the lie. But when the described victims actually do start turning up dead, suddenly no one knows where the lies end and the truth begins. As someone or something begins hunting the students themselves, the game turns terrifyingly real.

While the cast features primarily unknowns, it does bring in some love via the one and only Jon Bon Jovi. Plus former Laker Girl Sandra McCoy. If you know me at all you know that you’re about to get a picture of exactly what she looks like.

But first you should check out the New Trailer. It rocks! Too bad this thing is supposedly headed for a PG-13.
