Next Highlander is

It’s sac religious that Summitt is going forward with the ‘reimagining’ of the 1986 classic THE HIGHLANDER. Considering they keep cranking out spin-off sequels that go straight to DVD, it’s odd they think they could do any better than where the series is at now. Such is life… and Hollywood for ya.

Anyway, our compadres over at JoBlo.com scored a juicy little tidbit today. Looks like Kevin McKidd (from DOG SOLDIERS and the recent JOURNEYMAN fame) has been approached by producers to possibly star in the film.

This info was scooped up off a radio program where McKidd mentions this in an interview, so he could either be telling the truth or twisting it slightly… or it could all be out of context and totally bogus. But it COULD also be true! And considering the guy has the ‘look’ of a Highlander, I’d say he’d be a nice choice for the role if they’re gonna go ahead and do it anyway…

The key to a revamp like this is you gotta get someone in there that doesn’t have a HUGE name recognition yet. McKidd could be just the guy they’re looking for. To check out the full scoop, click HERE, and stick around for more on this remake as we hear it!
