There are lots of genre movies that were landmarks for me growing up in one way or another, but the first one that really brought home the sex and blood connection for me was THE HOWLING. Sure the guy pulling a bullet out of his brain was sweet and nasty all at the same time, but the scene that floored my adolescent libido was that sex scene. Fire. Ripping of clothes and skin. Man it flipped my lid.
So obviously I’m excited that the Dread Central boys have locked up some stills from director Joe Dante’s MASTERS OF HORROR entry HOMECOMING.
A little info on the story for ya first – Dante (The Howling) directs from a script by Sam Hamm (Batman, Batman Returns) which is based on the original short story Death & Suffrage by Dale Bailey. Homecoming tells of the “terror and scandal” that grip America “when the media discovers that the living dead have swayed the Presidential election.”
