If there ever was a “classic” film that managed to combine two of the greatest holidays of the year into one fantastically weird and totally awesome movie, it was TIM BURTON’S THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS! After all these years it’s still one of my favorite animated / musical flicks, and is still the only reason I’ve kept my VCR.
Why? Because after a super limited DVD release a few years back, NIGHTMARE hasn’t been available on DVD and I still have my “vintage” VHS copy that I bust out every holiday (both Halloween and Christmas) season. Until now… because Disney is hooking us up with a kick-ass 2-Disc Collector’s Edition DVD (hitting stores everywhere tomorrow, August 26th).
