If you saw S.H.I.E.L.D. honcho Nick Fury show up at the tail end of IRON MAN and couldn’t wait to see him kick ass in the sequel, you may be waiting longer for his extension into the Marvel movie universe.
As Sam Jackson tells MTV of his eyepatched agent, he won’t necessarily be battling baddies alongside armored Tony Stark in IRON MAN 2: “Not this time, not yet. We still haven’t moved Nick Fury into the bad-ass zone. He’s still just kind of a talker.“
Let’s hope he’s just downplaying the role of the leader of Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division…
Jackson says most of his finished scenes were opposite star Robert Downey Jr., but admits he also has some business with Scarlett Johansson’s sexy superspy Black Widow. But it sounds like it may take THOR or THE AVENGERS or the inevitable NICK FURY adventure or one of the nine (!!!) Marvel flicks that the 60-year-old Jackson is signed for before he begins booting posteriors and collecting aliases.
