No Reid for NOES?

There’s always another side to every story, and the saga of whether Platinum Dunes should cast drunk… I mean, smokin’ hot actress Tara Reid in their upcoming retake on A NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST. is no exception. Earlier this week a petition was formed online to have her star in the flick (check that out HERE), and today another petition was formed to have her NOT cast in the film. Oh the decision Platinum Dunes has to make!

The plea to Dunes against the idea of Reid being in the same movie as Freddy Krueger goes like this: We feel young hollywood actress Tara Reid DOES NOT deserves a role in the upcoming Platinum Dunes remake of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. After starring in ALONE IN THE DARK back in 2005, we feel that her career has gone south and her presence would not only hurt the quality, but the success of the film – which would hurt the horror genre in the long run. Check out how many people agree with me that she should NOT star in the film, or eve make a cameo…

Who knew Reid would induce such a strong reaction and controversy in the horror community? As of this writing the petition to have Reid on board the remake has over 800 signatures… the petition to have Reid OFF the remake has over 500 signatures and counting. Who will be the victor here? And more importantly, does it really matter?
