NYCC teaser released for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

The New York Comic-Con officially opens its doors today, and a special teaser for RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER has been cut together to be shown at the event. That teaser has also made its way online and can be seen below. Since I'm half the franchise behind on watching these movies, the teaser is a bit puzzling to me, because I know a lot of the footage is from previous installments but I don't know what shots may be from AFTERLIFE or RETRIBUTION and what may be from THE FINAL CHAPTER. I'll leave it up to the fans to discern what's new here.

Written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, THE FINAL CHAPTER stars Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Iain Glen, Shawn Roberts, Ruby Rose, Eoin Macken, William Levy, Fraser James, Rola, and Lee Joon-gi. The film's story picks up immediately after the events of RETRIBUTION and 

finds humanity is on its last legs. Alice must return to Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is preparing for a final strike against the survivors of the apocalypse.

In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella’s impending attack, this will be Alice’s most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.

RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER reaches theatres with the intention of wrapping up the franchise on January 17, 2017.
