The other day Eric told you how IFC Films scored US distribution rights for a flick called THE OBJECTIVE.
Well we haven’t heard much about THE OBJECTIVE but that’s all changing today with a one sheet for the flick hitting the net over at UGO! You can get a glimpse of it above, just click through to check out the whole thing.
The guys over at UGO had an interesting comment to share: “To call it Blair Witch in Afghanistan isn’t that far off, story-wise, but the shooting style is completely different.” Well that’s not too intriguing considering the awesome tagline: We haven’t seen the real enemy.
So which way do you go with THE OBJECTIVE? Yay or nay? I’ll stay on the fence until I see a bit more. The flick comes from BLAIR WITCH co-director Daniel Myrick. Myrick also penned the script with Mark A. Patton and Wesley Clark. OBJECTIVE stars Jonas Ball, Matthew Anderson, Jon Huertas, Michael Williams, Sam Hunter, and Jeff Prewett. It’s synopsis reads: The action takes place in a remote mountain region of Afghanistan, where a team of US Special Ops forces is dispatched with the ostensible orders of locating an influential Muslim cleric. While on the mission they find themselves lost in a Middle Eastern ‘Bermuda Triangle’ of ancient evil and faced with an enemy that none of them could ever have imagined.
