Official poster released for indie horror film Slapface starring Dan Hedaya!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

There's a new indie horror film from director Jeremiah Kipp (BLACK WAKE), that is about a young boy befriending a monster in the woods after the death of his mother, which sounds really intriguing! It's based on a short film of the same name from Kipp, and below you can see the official synopsis and unnerving official poster:

SLAPFACE follows the story of Lucas (Maturo) who is being raised by his alcoholic older brother Tom (Manning) after the loss of their parents. Lucas is a troubled and bullied young boy who befriends a monster in the nearby woods and the two develop a dangerous relationship. Barer plays Anna, an outsider in their small town who becomes romantically involved with Tom and who grows increasingly concerned about the welfare of Tom's little brother. Hedaya plays Sheriff Thurston, a man who has a history with Tom and Lucas's deceased mother and who feels a responsibility to look out for the well-being of her orphaned children.

Here's the official poster:

Meanwhile, SLAPFACE is written and directed by Jeremiah Kipp (BLACK WAKE), starring Dan Hedaya (ALIEN: RESURRECTION), August Maturo (THE NUN), Libe Barer (SNEAKY PETE), and Mike C. Manning (MTV'S TEEN WOLF), produced by Nick Theurer (DECEIT, REUNION OF CHAMPIONS), Artisha Mann Cooper, Mike C. Manning, and Joe Benedetto, and executive produced by Shintaro Shimosawa (THE GRUDGE) and Emmy-winner Lisa D'Ambrosio (THE BAY).

No official release date as of yet, but we'll keep you posted!
