Gary Oldamn is set to star in THE BACKWOODS, a new English/Spanish venture from production companys Filmax, Monfort Prods. and Videntia Frames Prods., the U.K.’s the Holy Cow and France’s Divine Prods. Filmax will handle international distribution.
The pic is [s]et in the summer of 1978, [and] depicts the apparently quiet holiday of a couple of English tourists who travel to a friend’s house in a Basque village, where they find a girl in a cabin in the woods with deformed hands.
Just vague enough to peak my interest, and Oldman’s involvement guarantees I’ll keep up on news for this one. Also joining him in the international cast are Virginie Ledoyen (pictured below), Paddy Considine and Aitana Sanchez-Gijon.
