Forever-working character actor Oliver Platt has joined Naomi Watts in Farren Blackburn’s SHUT IN, which is being produced by Luc Besson’s company EuropaCorp. Also joining the cast are Charlie Heaton, Jacob Tremblay, David Cubitt and French actress Clementine Poidatz.

Here’s the synopsis:

SHUT IN centers on a widowed child psychologist (Watts) who lives an isolated existence in rural New England. Caught in a deadly winter storm, she must find a way to rescue a young boy before he disappears forever.

Written by Christina Hodson (the script was featured on the 2012 Black List), SHUT IN is shooting in Montreal soon; it has staked out a February 19, 2016 release date.
