It's never a bad day when we see Olivia Wilde's (pictured) name pop up in the genre! According to Deadline, Wilde is set to star in and produce the upcoming psychological thriller MEADOWLAND which will be directed by Reed Morano from a script by Chris Rossi. Wilde is producing with Matt Tauber and Jennifer Levine will be executive producer.
Per usual, details are still being kept tightly wrapped up, but what we do know is that Wilde plays a mom whose son disappears, a jolt that puts her on an unexpected and dangerous path toward acceptance as she seeks out a relationship with a neglected boy and watches it take an unexpected turn. It's not a whole hell of a lot to go on so hopefully we'll be getting additional details on this one sooner rather than later. Filming is expected to begin this July in New York so we've still got a ways to go before they get this one rolling. Look for more soon!
