THE OMEN remake is finally making some waves. I’s about time since it’s mostly been boring us here in North America. Here’s what Nachotroncoso had to share:
Hi, I’m from Chile and I love your page. About a week ago I noticed there’s no movie posters for The Omen, and that movie is due pretty soon. The thing is that a friend of mine works at a Cinemark theater right here in Santiago, and she told me that the poster for the movie arrived but the manager decided to not show it to the public yet because it was too controversial (a crucified Christ upside down).
I didn’t believe it at the time but today I saw in a newspaper online that the poster is still being
seen in some cinemas here. The article basically says that the distribution company (in this case FOX/WARNER) decided to put away the posters because they received too many
complaints.
A little controversy is just what the remake needs. The marketing department should start leaking this story worldwide, and “anonymous scoopers” ought to begin providing full looks at the poster to webmasters all over. For now you can click on the tiny view above to get a slightly better look.
