Back in December we told you how Jordan Galland’s ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE UNDEAD had just been snatched up by Indican Pictures with plans to release that shite this April. Well plans have changed folks.
Word spreading across this here interweb has ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE UNDEAD moving from April 16th to Mat 21st. Not a huge move but it’ll do. Also released recently was a brand new poster for the film, which can be found below. … Alright. So the new one-sheet looks like a third grader went crazy in paint. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Undead is a comedy that explains the connection between Hamlet, the Holy Grail, and some very sexy vampires. Julian Marsh is an out of work and unsuspecting ladies man who still lives in the apartment above his Dad’s medical office. Frustrated by his son’s lack of a career, the good doctor cuts a deal with one of his creepy patients and gets Julian a job directing an off-Broadway play. The play is a bizarre adaptation of Hamlet written by a pale Romanian man named Horatio who is actually a master vampire. Julian recruits some New York actor buddies and a longtime ex-girlfriend to star in the show and they find themselves smack dab in the middle of a two thousand year old conspiracy. Forget about the garlic and the holy water only the Holy Grail itself can save them now if only being undead wasn’t so much God-damned fun!
ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE UNDEAD stars Jake Hoffman, Devon Aoki (below), John Ventimiglia, Jeremy Sisto, Joey Kern and Ralph Macchio. I’m sure this won’t be the last we hear from the film before it’s May 21st release date so be sure to keep it here for updates!
