Yesterday we brought you the news that deranged dark comedy-thriller THE VOICES had prettied things up with the casting of Gemma Arterton and Anna Kendrick, who joined Ryan Reynolds in the film. Now some prestige is being added to the project in the form of Jacki Weaver.

Weaver is a two time Oscar-nominee, for ANIMAL KINGDOM and last year’s SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK; she also recently appeared in Park Chan-wook’s STOKER. Her role is undefined at the moment.

In THE VOICES…

Reynolds plays Jerry, an ordinary bathtub factory worker whose relationship with a woman from accounting takes a sudden, deadly turn. Hearing voices from his good dog and evil cat, Jerry begins a fantastic journey towards salvation.

THE VOICES is currently shooting in Germany under the direction of Marjane Satrapi.
