Ouch! Donkey P. trailer!

I’ve got to say that I’m really looking forward to DONKEY PUNCH (the movie, not the act). A couple months back, my man, Jared, gave us all a couple nice clips from the flick as well as a look at its gruesome poster (above). Now, the film’s first full trailer (below) has surfaced and after having a look, I’m thinking this is one party not to miss!

There’s your basic bevy of bikini-clad babes and horny dudes having a blast on some fancy yacht… then the proverbial shit hits the fan (it wouldn’t be a horror outing otherwise). We get slapped in the back of the head with some fast-paced, pretty intense action. I’m guessing the gore factor will be pretty high as well (the poster helps). Here’s a precise description of the plot:

After meeting at a nightclub in a Mediterranean resort, seven young adults decide to continue partying aboard a luxury yacht in the middle of the ocean. But when one of them dies in a freak accident the others argue about what to do, leading to a ruthless fight for survival.

I like the idea of a “luxury yacht horror at sea”. Plus, DONKEY PUNCH was just listed by Empire Online as one of the top 10 “non-summer-blockbusters” to see, calling it “One of the best horrors of the year [with] a rather eye-opening sex scene.” I’m liking that endorsement!

DP was directed by Oliver Blackburn who also co-scripted with David Bloom. It stars Robert Boulter, Sian Breckin, Tom Burke, Nichola Burley (below), Julian Morris, Jay Taylor, and Jaime Winstone. It’s set to open in the UK on July 18th. Hopefully a US opening will be arriving shortly thereafter.
