Last week we received word that GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY will be coming home on December 9th, although a list of the special features was sorely absent. Now we have the list of what goodies we can expect to be accompanying the flick in all of it's 1080p DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround sound glory.

Here's a list of the special features:

  • Audio Commentary
  • Never-Before-Seen Deleted Scenes
  • Making-of Featurettes
  • Exclusive Look at Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron
  • Gag Reel

The features look a little light from where I'm sitting, although it's impossible to tell how in-depth those featurettes go. What's especially special to note is the exclusive look at the next Avengers flick. Sure, it could be a total fluff piece with interviews from the actors stating things we've known about for months, but is there perhaps a slim chance we may get to see some of that footage shown on this year's SDCC? It's not like Marvel needs any more incentive for people to pick up the GUARDIANS Blu-ray (you can pre-order here), but knowing that Ultron in motion could be contained within would surely launch Blu-ray sales through the stratosphere.

Hopefully all will be revealed when GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY hits Blu-ray/DVD on December 9, 2014.
