We’ve been keeping you updated on the horror flick PAINTBALL since it was announced. What is PAINTBALL? Well it feels like the paintball scene in FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 6 extended into a feature film. At least that’s what it seems to be at first glance… and maybe even a closer look. Maybe once the trailer hits we’ll be shown otherwise?
But for now, that’s what I’m going with. Today Aullidos got a look at the newest poster for PAINTBALL. You can go ahead and see that pictured to the right. Exciting right? Now I love simple one sheets… but effective simple one sheets. This one has a guy decked out in paintball gear looking up. I guess the selling point would be the tagline: “There’s nothing like a brush with death to make you feel alive.”
I’ll actually go with my gut and say I’m digging the tagline. Hopefully they capitalize on that idea. The plot for PAINTBALL reads about a group of young workaholics looking to have an extreme paintball adventure but end up having to defend their lives against unknown enemies. Nothing out of the ordinary there, but I’m down. Here’s hoping it doesn’t take itself too seriously and just has fun with being a horror flick in the woods.
The flick stars Brendan Mckey, Robert Maskell, Patrick Regis, Jennifer Matter, Peter Vives, Claudia Bassols (below), Anna Casas, and Iaione Pérez. It’s written by Mario Schoendorff and is directed by Daniel Benmayor. I’m sure we’ll be hearing more on PAINTBALL, so we’ll keep you updated.
