Looks like The Pang Bros. (THE EYE) have their next flick all lined up. They’ll tackle comic book adaptation THE DARKNESS for Platinum Studios and Blue Star Pictures. Miramax also has an option to get on board that expires in January.
The flick will follow a Mafia hit man who discovers he is heir to a supernatural, dangerous force. I would tend to think that’d be a plus for a guy who makes his living as a killer.
Also on tap for Oxide Pang is the DVD release of AB-NORMAL BEAUTY. That drops on December 26th from Tartan Asia Extreme. The synopsis goes like this:
Jiney, a photography student, stumbles across a horrible car accident. After shooting the grisly scene, she becomes obsessed with photographing death. Although disturbed by her macabre fascination, she is overcome with excitement and satisfaction she has never before experienced.
One day, she receives a video tape of a girl who has been beaten to death. But before she can unravel the mystery of the tape or her abnormal behavior, she is kidnapped and realizes the horror has only just begun.
